Biological age test in Sofia

Your chronological age is fixed. Your biological age is not. Epigenetic testing shows how fast you are actually ageing — and which systems are lagging.

    Method

    DNA methylation

    Sample

    Blood draw

    Results

    3–4 weeks

    Retest

    After 6–12 months

A biological age test measures DNA methylation patterns in a blood sample and converts them into an epigenetic age. At Blue Longevity Clinic in Sofia we use TruAge™, which reports biological age, pace of ageing and age by organ system, with physician interpretation.

    What an epigenetic clock measures

Methyl groups accumulate at predictable positions on DNA as we age. Epigenetic clocks read thousands of these sites and compute a biological age that correlates with mortality and age-related disease more strongly than chronological age.

TruAge™ adds two layers: pace of ageing — how many biological years you accumulate per calendar year — and a system breakdown showing whether the lag sits in hepatic, renal, metabolic, immune or cardiovascular systems.

Why we read it alongside blood biomarkers

Epigenetic age tells you where you are heading, not why. That is why we interpret it together with an 80+ biomarker panel — inflammation, metabolic control, lipid risk, hormones and micronutrients.

The combination turns a single number into a short list of the factors most strongly accelerating your ageing, and what can reverse them.
