What the analysis actually measures
Conventional stool culture only detects species that grow in the lab — under 20% of gut flora. Molecular sequencing reads the genetic material of everything present and returns a full map of the ecosystem.
We report diversity (the single strongest marker of gut resilience), the ratio of protective to potentially problematic genera, butyrate-producing capacity, and markers of low-grade inflammation and intestinal permeability.
Why it matters for longevity
Low bacterial diversity appears consistently alongside metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, autoimmune conditions and depressive symptoms. Butyrate, the main fuel of colon cells, maintains gut barrier integrity and suppresses systemic inflammation.
