Why a standard check-up is not enough
A typical annual panel covers blood count, glucose and total cholesterol. These shift late — usually once the process is already advanced. Insulin resistance, for example, precedes type 2 diabetes by years yet stays invisible if only fasting glucose is measured.
We add ApoB (a more accurate atherogenic risk marker than LDL), Lp(a) — genetically fixed and measured once in a lifetime — hs-CRP, homocysteine, ferritin, vitamin D and B12, plus full thyroid and sex hormone panels.
